Meet The Staff
Margaret

Margaret Hwang - I have been with The Mustard Seed since 2001 and have been working in many areas of the store. I am now the Supplement and Health & Beauty Manager. Being vegetarian since 1993, and vegan since 1999, brought me into The Mustard Seed as a customer, eventually being hired to take my sister Renee's place. I enjoy helping customers make healthy decisions, and doing my best to make sure they get what they need.

Joel

Joel Timourou - I started work here at The Mustard Seed on August 21, 2006 after spending 2 1/2 years volunteering as a cook in Patterson, NY(about an hour north of NYC). Prior to that I was a Paralegal. So why am I here working at The Mustard Seed? Well, my family and I have always been interested in improving our health and have shopped at The Mustard Seed for years. I find the interaction with customers and products mentally stimulating and believe that what I have learned and will continue to learn is beneficial to not only myself, but my friends and acquaintances as well.

Rick Snyder - I'm the bulk foods manager at The Mustard Seed. I began working here in April 2006. My responsibilities include ordering bulk foods and bulk special orders, and customer service. Although I've only been here for a short time, I'm learning a wealth of knowledge about natural food products. I realize that the wealth of information concerning organic and natural products is endless. I am learning as much as I can for my family's health, and so I can share the information with the public. I look forward to an on going education. If you wish to place a bulk special order, please call (315) 788-2463.

Suzi Hasselbalch I really wanted to work at the Mustard Seed because it truly represents what I care passionately about - natural/holistic health. Studying to become a yoga teacher and researching ayurveda has inspired me to investigate all forms of natural healing modalities and the body's innate ability to heal itself. The idea of empowering people with the information to realize how much they can affect their own health is of great value to me.
